Where is Paradise Valley?
Tamalouzte, about 60 km north-east of Agadir in the foothills of the High Atlas. The drive takes roughly one hour via the A7 motorway and Immouzzer road.
When is the best time to visit?
Year-round, but the pools are at their best from April to October. Arrive before 10:00 to beat the crowds — by midday in summer the famous pools fill up. Winter visits are magical too: the valley is green and almost empty.
What to bring
- Water shoes — the granite is slippery
- Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a hat
- Cash: no ATMs in the valley
- Water and snacks (a Berber lunch is available on site)
Is it safe?
Yes, for swimmers of all levels — the main pools are shallow. Skip the cliff jumps you may see on social media; the rocks hide sharp edges. With children, stay in the lower pools.
How much does it cost?
Guided half-day tours from Agadir start at €30 per person including hotel pickup, driver-guide and water. Going by yourself? Expect about 300 MAD round trip by grand taxi.
